Parkes Technical Advisory is the consulting practice of AI PARKES LTD. We work with industrial operators, manufacturers and energy-intensive businesses that need to reduce carbon emissions from their processes, and we do so from a technical and engineering standpoint rather than a general sustainability one. Our clients typically face hard, physical problems: high-temperature heat, process emissions that cannot be electrified easily, ageing plant and complex site constraints.
We approach every engagement by understanding the process first. Before we discuss any technology, we map the emissions profile of your site, establish where the carbon actually sits and identify which abatement options are technically credible. That means separating measures that will work at full industrial scale from those that only perform in a laboratory or pilot setting. The result is a shortlist of realistic interventions with clear engineering logic behind each one.
Our work spans industrial heat decarbonisation, fuel switching, carbon capture readiness, hydrogen and alternative fuels assessment, energy efficiency and emissions measurement. We advise on the options, but we also help you interrogate them: what each measure costs per tonne of carbon avoided, what the operational implications are, what the supply chain requires, and what regulatory or permitting steps stand in the way. This is candid analysis, not advocacy for any single technology.
The practice is deliberately small and senior. You will deal directly with the consultant undertaking the work, and you will not be passed to a junior team once the engagement begins. We take on a limited number of assignments at a time so that each receives proper attention. Whether you need a standalone feasibility study, technical due diligence on a proposed project, or ongoing advisory support through a decarbonisation programme, the same standard applies.
